InnerSelf offers space to heal through curiosity and compassion

Therapy creates a secure space for genuine change. While mindset alone can bring insight, real transformation often asks for deeper connection—to body, emotion, and Self. Blending evidence-based psychotherapy and body-centered approaches, InnerSelf helps turn frustration into growth and guides you toward a life that reflects your truest Self.

About

Supporting your journey to inner balance.

About Kathe I believe our life experiences shape us—psychologically, physically, and spiritually. With this understanding, I offer a blend of talk therapy and body-based awareness to support mental well-being and deeper connection to Self. My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapies, psychoeducation, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), mindfulness, and spirituality to support lasting healing and meaningful change. My work leans into the practice of learning kindness toward yourself—especially in moments that feel difficult or uncertain. Together, we work to build understanding and compassion for the parts of you that have worked hard to protect and survive. If that resonates, I welcome you to reach out. Training & Education Kathe has advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1) through the IFS Institute; complex trauma training (Levels 1 & 2) with Janina Fisher, PhD; mindful self-compassion with Kristin Neff, PhD, and Chris Germer, PhD; and is a Certified Ketamine Therapy Provider through Non Ordinary Therapy. Additional training includes Psychedelic Integration Specialist certification with Mindscape Psychedelic Institute, biofeedback training with Saybrook University and Inna Khazan, PhD, and trauma-sensitive yoga with The Center for Trauma and Embodiment at JRI. Kathe completed clinical practicums at Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center and in hospice inpatient care. She holds a BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies from the University of Northern Iowa and an MSW from the University of Iowa. Contact Because I’m often with clients, email tends to be the easiest way to reach me about starting therapy, scheduling or general questions. Phone calls are also welcome. You can use the number or email button at the top of the page to get in touch. A note on finances I value transparency and collaboration when it comes to cost. At this time KAP sessions aren't covered by insurance, though some plans may offer reimbursement for the non-medicinal portions of preparation and integration work. Fees are listed below, and we can talk through what feels sustainable and supportive for you as we plan your KAP process.
